OUR HISTORY

Founded in the early '60 's Farm Valditerra Laura is one of the youngest and most innovative operating in the area of Gavi. Intuition, passion, desire and authenticity are the basis of an ambitious project: to produce a Gavi DOCG modern, pleasant, attentive to the market but with respect for tradition and strong conviction to maintain the originality of the territory. The slopes of Monterotondo, which extend around the company, are marked by a great forest that hides itself a romantic lake, a scene that at first sight creates a sense of comfort and joy of living, which combined with the geometry of vineyards, gives entry into the philosophy of our project: to transfer into their wine, perfumes and sensations of this land and its landscapes. The vineyards are cultivated with care and have high density of vines, this order to obtain a high quality product.
The vines are the classic ones in our area and our typical microclimate: Cortese di Gavi, Barbera, Freisa; devote attention to the new variety (merlot and cabernet sauvignon) to combine the enthusiasm for certainty improvement of our products. Currently our vineyards cover 13 hectares, all in the hills, with an average altitude of 260 m. sea level. In 2006 the company Valditerra was further magnified by buying the neighboring estate "The Merlassino" about 12 hectares. Of these 4 hectares have been planted to vineyard Gavi DOCG. The workings of the earth are very demanding but the results meet our efforts. Autumn in the area, sweet and varied colors, and allows optimal harvest, after the operations of the cellar, our Gavi DOCG wait several months in bottle before being sold in order to make him reach the best balance of tastes and full expression of its originality.
